East London-born Adrian Legg first learned to play the hautboy as a small fry and then made a fatal switch to guitar during adolescence. Since and then, he has constituted his reputation as a unique and highly proficient fingerstyle guitarist with sunglasses of classical, jazz, folk, res publica, and tilt colouring his work. Though he has released several of his have studio apartment albums since the late '70s -- many of which have topped year-end reader's polls for Guitarist and Guitar Player magazines -- he has thrived as a live performing artist, whether appearance solo or with a spectrum of artists that has ranged from Nanci Griffith to Joe Satriani. Legg has likewise been responsible for a number of instructional videos and books, and he has been a unconstipated presence on National Public Radio's All Things Considered programme. Guitar Bones, his first record album for Steve Vai's Favored Nations Acoustic judge, was released in early 2003.
